Summary:
The role supports the Holding House Manager by performing duties including barn work, unloading trailers, guiding ducks to processing areas, and ensuring cleanliness and disinfection of the Holding House.
Essential Duties:
Adhere to Duck Well-Being and Care and Handling Guidelines, including annual recertification.
Handle tasks like unloading ducks, moving them to processing, and washing/disinfecting transport vehicles.
Report any Holding House irregularities to the Supervisor or Lead.
Assist the Holding House Manager in maintaining operational efficiency, quality, and safety.
Perform other related duties as needed.
Job Specifications:
Poultry rearing experience preferred.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Skills And Abilities:
Follow safety, well-being, and biosecurity protocols.
Work effectively with others and communicate well.
Resolve minor loading/unloading and equipment operation issues.
Working Climate:
Work in various weather conditions, including weekends.
Involves heavy lifting, long periods of walking, and use of chemicals.
Personal protection equipment provided with certain items reimbursed after 60 days.
