Establish and participate in diagnostic monitoring and research with both live and processed products.
Actively participate in communication across divisions to effectively address quality assurance, food safety, and biosecurity issues with managers and consulting veterinarians.
Oversee and/or conduct research related to MLF biologics and Live Production (LP) interests.
Analyze data and prepare reports for evaluation.
Monitor quality control measures for vaccines, bacterins, probiotics and diagnostics production/procedures.
Manage and develop laboratory personnel.
Promote staff retention through development and training of Grow Out staff in all LP areas.
Participate in development and review of SOP's and duck well-being guidelines, environmental management, and cross-training in all Laboratory areas.
Direct staff in implementing safety strategy, policy enforcement, awareness, and training programs.
Consult with HR on employee issues, as necessary.
Perform analysis using CPI methodology.
Make recommendations to staff on research or problem-solving steps to correct or improve performance.
Responsible to maintain the lab status as an NPIP Authorized Laboratory and represent Indiana as a NPIP Biennial Conference as an Alternate Delegate or Delegate when requested by ISPA.
Perform related duties as required.
